The World Askew was a solo exhibition by Arti Gidwani that explored the tensions of a rapidly changing world through ceramic sculpture. Presented at Artotel Jakarta, the works reflected on the evolving identity of a new generation navigating between past and present—shaped by shifting values, social expectations, and an increasingly digital and uncertain landscape. Through expressive, often abstract human forms, Arti captured themes of disconnection, resilience, and transformation, offering a nuanced reflection on contemporary life and the search for meaning within it.
